Alabama's Jacob Coker passed for two touchdowns, and the No.2 Crimson Tide rolled past No. 3 MIchigan State 38-0, in the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic in Arlington, Texas.
Coming into the game, Alabama leaned heavily on the ground game, but Coker threw the ball 30 times - with a completition rate of 83 percent. Heisman winner Derrick Henry also contributed two rushing touchdowns in the College Football PLayoff semifinal game.
Alabama's stiffling defense held Michigan State to 239 yards of total offense. The shutout ended Michigan State's incredible season as well as the Connor Cook era, which incuded a pair of Big Ten titles.
